We are be able to provide the most complete support when you're
using the BU Linux distribution. We may also be able to help with other
up-to-date varieties of Linux, but the level of support will be less.
If you feel that you have Linux needs that BU Linux doesn't meet,

We support Linux as we do Solaris. Additionally, we provide our own custom distribution of the OS, called BU Linux. Check out the Installation pages for information on how to download and install the latest version.. We don't provide official tech support for individual users, but do try (in our spare time) to answer questions posted to

Support for BU Linux is provided via e-mail. However, since we have limited resources, we cannot provide Linux technical support beyond the services we normally offer for all other operating systems. If you don't currently have a support arrangement with OIT Systems Support , we can often offer help on a time and materials basis, or we can talk about establishing a more permanent support relationship. Of course, we do encourage you to make use of the resources available here. Please check the FAQ for information and for further places to go for help, both at BU and worldwide. |
