Keeping up with security is an important responsibility for anyone with machines connected to the Internet. It's not merely important to protect one's own systems for their own sakes — a compromised system can become a launchpad for further attacks. We've tried to make BU Linux as secure as possible out of the box, but it's vital to realize that network security is an ongoing process.

As part of this process, the BU Linux team provides regular security updates, which are automatically installed on BU Linux systems after passing our quality assurance checks.
